Thyroid disease is very common and can affect any age group. Thyroid disorders can cause many symptoms which may be misdiagnosed as separate conditions. Also once diagnosed, patients may not receive optimal thyroid hormone replacement therapy and may continue to suffer unnecessarily.

The consequences of poor thyroid health in the community has yet to be documented. Poor thyroid health not only affects the individual, but their work and family life.

THYROID WA SUPPORT GROUP INC. promotes - SUPPORT, ADVOCACY and AWARENESS for better thyroid function, not only for the patient, but the whole community.

As a not for profit group, run entirely by volunteers, sponsorship to maintain support services is essential.
